EIB Takes to the Road 1989-1991 |
|
Rush Limbaugh burst onto the national radio scene in August of 1988 with the Excellence in Broadcasting Network. In just one year, the network grew from 56 stations to over 140 - making it the most listened-to talk show in America.
In a few years, EIB had reached total national saturation with over 600 stations! But Rush was never just a radio performer. His versatility includes a mastery of the live performance on stage - as he proved playing to sellout audiences and standing ovations all over the nation on his three Rush to Excellence Tours from 1989 to 1991. |

Combining humor, empathy, sincerity, warmth and biting sarcasm in a way that kept audiences captivated for over an hour and a half, El Rushbo used this unique live-show medium to spread his name and message from coast to coast. Enjoy the pictures and clips from the days when the Excellence in Broadcasting Network was new, and the left first began their now 15-year-old Quixotic search for the "liberal Rush Limbaugh." |
