Rush has written two best-sellers, built an audience of over 20 million, hosted a groundbreaking TV show and launched America's #1 political newsletter. It will eventually take a few wings in the Museum of Broadcasting to truly cover The Era of Limbaugh. We've compiled some classic and cool EIB stuff below: video clips from the Rush To Excellence Tours where Rush performed "safe talk" and got down with Clarence "Frogman" Henry; audio from the day in 1992 when he shocked the nation by endorsing Bill Clinton for president; a photo gallery of his career from the late 80s on, and much more.

Few people in any field have remained consistently on top for 15 years, but Rush has - not bad for a kid from Missouri who grew up dreaming of radio. But when Rush's first show aired nationally on August 1, 1988, the gurus of radio said it would never work - and when it did, they said it wouldn't last. Rush was right when he wrote: "My Success Is Not Determined By Who Wins Elections," a chapter in The Way Things Ought To Be which you can hear him read below.

Rush has been hailed from the White House to the floor of the House of Representatives and served to inspire a media fairness revolution. On Election Night 2002, Tom Brokaw and NBC News turned to Rush for analysis – a video event you can watch right here. At RushLimbaugh.com, we have the honor of working for Rush and wish him all the best on his 15th Anniversary behind the Golden EIB Microphone. We hope all of you enjoy this look back, since as Rush says, "None of this would be possible without you." This history is by no means comprehensive, but don't worry: we'll have more classic Limbaugh on future anniversaries. After all, Rush isn't retiring until everyone agrees with him.
